AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 30, 2025)….Conservative Texans for Energy Innovation is pleased to announce that distinguished Army Veteran and successful business leader Kevin Doffing has joined the CTEI Advisory Board.
Kevin Doffing is the CEO of Project Vanguard, a community of veterans in energy. The organization leads the industry’s veteran workforce development efforts and organizes veterans across the country to advocate for their industry.
Most recently, Kevin was the Chief Commercial Officer for a utility-scale energy services business and was an Executive in Residence for Rice University’s Clean Energy Accelerator. He was a co-founder of Houston’s first renewable trade association, the Renewable Energy Alliance – Houston. Doffing was a non-resident senior fellow and Director at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, a non-partisan think tank in Washington, D.C., providing thought leadership on the intersection of national security and energy security.

Kevin was commissioned into the U.S. Army through the Officer Candidate School following his graduation from Texas A&M. He deployed to combat in Ramadi, Iraq, as a Light Infantry Platoon Leader with 2 nd Infantry Division. He later conducted an acquisition of an oil & gas supply business in Houston that he operated for a decade before a successful exit. Along with his business endeavors, he led numerous veteran service organizations in Houston. He is a recipient of the Small Business Administration’s Veteran Business Advocate of the Year Award, and received the Texas Governor’s Veteran Owned Business of the Year Award. Doffing is a proud member of the Aggie 100.
