Richard (Dick) H. Collins was born in Dallas and is a sixth-generation Texan. He is a former chairman and majority shareholder of two banks and has been active in real estate, energy, and media investments. Collins currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Istation, an interactive education company with more than five million students enrolled in its network across all fifty states. He is actively involved in philanthropy, supporting many causes in the arts, in education and historic preservation. Collins has served on the board of various charitable and philanthropic organizations. He was appointed by the Governor to the Texas Historical Commission, and the Texas Board of Criminal Justice. He has two daughters and lives in Dallas, Texas.
